Goal:
Requires medical case management knowledge, knowledge
of applicable state and/or federal workers compensation statutes and case
law pertaining to benefit statutes affecting disability and the ability to coach
internal and external customers in such.
Job Description:
40%
of Time - Applies proactive case management techniques to contain, resolve and
conclude assigned cases to meet the financial goals of clients by rapidly responding
to new injuries and aggressively managing existing cases.
20% of Time -
Establishes and maintains good working relationships with client Injury Managers
and/or insurance company adjusters. Provides meaningful teaching and coaching
on a daily basis to develop client Injury Managers in the GuilfordPare methodology
on specific cases and on lessons learned from closed and successfully contained
claims.
20% of Time - Maintains computer documentation in the GuilfordPare
database and effective diary control on all cases to insure appropriate case follow-up.
Maintains a thorough working knowledge of insurance companies automated claim-reporting
systems and reports required to properly serve clients.
10% of Time - Provides
prompt, courteous service to internal and external customers by responding to
their requests for information. Understands the Management Action Plan (MAP) procedure,
participates in gathering information from clients to complete the MAP document
and completes any quarterly or biannual reports as required by the client contract.
10% of Time - Provides internal and external customers with meaningful
updates on progress toward achieving mutual goals through informal discussions
and formal presentations.
